Designed by Deborah Newton and knit in Blue Sky Alpacas’ Worsted Hand Dyes, this bag features an I-cord strap that is knitted first, then woven through decorative chains and attached for the handles. A cabled strip is made separately and forms the gusset at the sides and lower edge. The textured front and back pieces are picked up along the two edges at the bottom and sewn to the side gussets. A zipper can be sewn to the knitted facings at the top of the bag. Featured in Vogue Knitting Holiday 2008.
