Stonehaven Farm Shearing Day

Shearing day (actually 2 days) is one of the major events in our farm year, usually occurring in late February or early March. Each fleece is carefully handled to provide the best quality to our wool and yarn customers. This video shows about half of our flock, on the 2nd day of shearing. Much appreciation goes to Clint Goodwin, a very talented shearer (and winemaker) from Northport, Washington. Endless thanks to our friends Deborah & David Mader, Minden & Ivy Wreden, Melanie Allardale, Antonia Carriere, Karen Kettlety, Mayan McCoy, Lisa Baubock, Ken Wilson and Luanne Rouse for their help and companionship. Wear wool, not plastic! Good will towards all, from Brook & Lois Moore at www.stonehavenfarm.com
